Mexico

Mexican Caribbean (Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel), Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco, Acapulco, and Ixtapa.

Dominican Republic

  • Status: Open for travel
  • COVID-19 test entry requirement: Most travelers (for example, from United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Puerto Rico, etc.) do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival to enter the Dominican Republic. In accordance with the D.R. Responsible Tourism Recovery Plan, travelers from other countries do not need to provide a negative PCR or COVID-19 test upon arrival Authorities will randomly administer a quick breath test to 3-10% of arriving travelers. 
    • All passengers arriving in the Dominican Republic from Australia, Brazil, Democratic Republic of Congo, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Ireland, Kuwait, Monaco, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Senegal, South Africa, Sweden, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia and United Kingdom (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival or a vaccination card no less than 3 weeks after the last dose was placed. 
    • All international tourists arriving on commercial flights and staying at a hotel will be granted during the check-in process a temporary, free health coverage plan that provides coverage for emergencies, such as COVID-19 while in-country. The coverage includes medical attention by specialists, medical transfers, transfer of a relative, penalty for airfare changes, lodging for prolonged stays and more. This insurance will be provided at no cost to visitors who check-in at the hotel until July 31, 2021 and will be 100% paid for by the Dominican government. In order to obtain coverage of the health plan the tourist must enter the country exclusively by air and only applies for guests staying at a hotel.
  • Other entry requirements: All foreign and Dominican passengers entering or leaving Dominican Republic on commercial flights must complete the free electronic entry and exit form, which combines the Traveler’s Health Affidavit, Customs Declaration and International Embarkation/Disembarkation forms. The form is available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese and Russian and can be accessed through the following link: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do

Jamaica

  • Status: Open for travel
  • COVID-19 test entry requirement: Effective March 4, 2021, all travellers to Jamaica, 12 years of age and over, regardless of nationality, will be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test result to check in for a flight. The date of the sample collection must be within 3 days of the travel date.
  • Other entry requirements: Visitors must fill out a Travel Authorization Form in advance and face masks are required at the airport.  Applications for Travel Authorizations will be accepted up to 5 days, but NO LESS than 24 hours before intended arrival in Jamaica. Additionally, personal information submitted with the Travel Authorization, such as name and date of birth, must match the information on the COVID-19 test.

Costa Rica

  • Status: Open for travel with restrictions. On Nov 1, 2020, Costa Rica re-opened its air borders to all countries in the world as long as they meet the visa requirements as required, as well as the requirements established in the framework of the pandemic.
  • COVID-19 test entry requirement: All local and foreign travelers over two years old who enter Costa Rica by air are required to present a COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test with a negative result.
  • Other entry requirements: Beginning August 1, 2021, international passengers traveling to Costa Rica do not need to purchase COVID-19 Travel Insurance, if they can show documentation indicating they have completed their COVID-19 vaccination. In addition, minors 18 years old and under do not need this travel insurance coverage. The vaccination document must indicate the following: 
    • Name of individual 
    • Dose(s) date(s) 
    • Pharmaceutical Company (Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson*)  *Johnson & Johnson vaccination must be applied 14 days prior traveling U.S. passengers can provide their COVID-19 vaccination record card

    • Face masks and social distancing are required at airports. 
    • Travelers must fill out the electronic epidemiological HEALTH PASS form. 
    • It is mandatory that travelers provide proof of purchase of a travel insurance policy covering costs of medical expenses due to COVID-19 illness, additional accommodations in case of quarantine and any other associated costs due to a positive COVID diagnosis. Authorized insurance policies for travelers offered by Costa Rican insurance companies can be purchased through the following links: Grupo INSSagicor, or BlueCross BlueShield. For international insurance policies, travelers must request a certification from their insurance company, issued in English or Spanish, verifying the coverage of at least the following three conditions:
      • Effectiveness of the policy during the visit to Costa Rica.
      • Guaranteed coverage of medical expenses in the event of becoming ill with the pandemic COVID-19 virus while in Costa Rica, for at least USD $50,000 (fifty thousand United States Dollars).
      • Includes minimum coverage of USD $2,000 for lodging expenses issued as a result of the pandemic.

Curacao

  • Status: Open for travel with restrictions. Beginning January 1, 2021, passengers from all states in the U.S. will be allowed to travel to Curaçao. Cruise passengers are not currently allowed.
  • COVID-19 test entry requirement: Within 72 hours before departure, each visitor entering Curaçao will need to show a negative result from a certified COVID-19 PCR-test and upload a copy. Follow the instructions at dicardcuracao.com for more details. Please note: PCR tests based on Gargle samples will not be accepted.
  • Other entry requirements: 
    • As of April 20th, travelers arriving in Curaçao from high-risk countries (includes USA), who have not been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 6 months, are required to take an antigen test at a local laboratory on the third day of their stay’.  The required third-day antigen test is required for all travelers entering Curaçao and is in addition to the mandatory PCR test.  Making an appointment for the antigen test in Curacao is an integrated step to successfully register for the Passenger Locator Card. This is the last step of the registration process on www.dicardcuracao.com. Travelers can choose between several local laboratories.  Within 48 hours before departure, complete the Digital Immigration Card also called the, Passenger Locator Card (PLC) at dicardcuracao.com and bring a printed copy with you. Face masks and social distancing are required at throughout island and at the airport.
    • There are some exemptions for 3rd day Antigen in Curaçao for the following: 
      • Same day travelers (transit/transfer)
      • Travelers who depart within 3 days
      • Travelers who have had Covid-19 in the past 6 months, with a proof of negative Antigen test upon arrival 
      • Travelers who are traveling from a low risk country 
      • Children aged 6 and under
      • USFOL members

St. Martin

  • Status: Open for travel with restrictions. Travelers are now able to stay and travel across the French and Dutch border on the island.
  • COVID-19 test entry requirement: Travelers are required to submit negative results from a PCR test taking within 120 hours (5 days) prior to departure. Children ages 10 and younger are exempt. Starting January 10, 2021. As of February 17, 2021, passengers arriving from the United States of America and Canada can use all FDA approved rapid antigen tests for travel to St. Martin. This includes those antigen tests with Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) as well. This does not include At Home Tests. 
  • Other entry requirements: Travelers must complete an online Health Declaration Form  https://stmaartenehas.com  This It is strongly recommended that you complete this registration process at least 24 hours prior to your departure flight as confirmation of your registration can take as long 12 hours. Temperature checks are conducted at the airport, and face masks are required throughout the island including the airport. Starting January 10, 2021, St. Maarten will implement its St. Martin Visitor Protection Plan, a health insurance plan for vacationers visiting the island. The mandatory health coverage plan rates are: $30 USD: All visitors 15 years or older. $10 USD: Children 0 -14 years old. Each policy is valid for a single entry to the country for a stay up to 180 days, and expires the moment the policy holder boards a flight leaving the country.  Each entry into the country requires the purchase of a new policy. Aruba

  • Status: Open for travel with restrictions. 
  • COVID-19 test: The Government of Aruba requires all visitors to undergo a Molecular SARS-CoV-2 test based on a nasal or oral swab within 72 hours before entering Aruba. Children aged 14 and under are exempt. Find the testing option best suited to you on the COVID-19 Testing Requirements page
  • Other entry requirements: All visitors are required to complete an online Embarkation/Disembarkation card and be approved in order to gain entry to Aruba, face masks are required at the airport. The new ED card process is available online at: aruba.com. Aruba Visitors Insurance is a mandatory insurance that helps protect visitors against incurred medical and non-medical expenses if testing positive for COVID-19 during their stay in Aruba. The mandatory health coverage plan rates are: $30 USD: All visitors 15 years or older. $10 USD: Children 0 -14 years old. Each policy is valid for a single entry to the country for a stay up to 180 days, and expires the moment the policy holder boards a flight leaving the country.  Each entry into the country requires the purchase of a new policy. Hawaii

  • Status: Open for travel with restrictions. Hawaii’s 10-day mandatory self-quarantine remains in place for all trans-Pacific passengers.
  • COVID-19 test: As of July 8, 2021, travelers entering Hawaii from the U.S. mainland and its Territories who have been fully vaccinated in the United States (including its Territories) may bypass the quarantine without a pre-travel Covid-19 test. The vaccination record document must be uploaded to Safe Travels or printed out prior to departure and presented to officials when arriving in Hawai‘i. The State of Hawaii will also accept vaccine records that are digitally validated by Digital Health Pass Partners. Travelers who were fully vaccinated in Hawai‘i are already eligible for this exception. 
  • Hawaii continues to welcome other travelers to the Hawaiian Islands with a pre-travel test. Travelers wishing to use the pre-travel test to bypass quarantine must have a negative result from a test taken from a Trusted Testing and Travel Partner no more than 72 hours BEFORE beginning the final leg of their trip. Anyone without a negative test result or U.S. vaccination PRIOR to departure must quarantine upon arrival. The State of Hawai‘i will also accept vaccine records that are digitally validated by Digital Health Pass Partners. The negative test result must be uploaded onto Safe Travels or printed out prior to departure and presented to officials when arriving in Hawai‘i.
