Hurricane Priscilla - Update #1  

October 7, 2025 – 14:00 PM AST  

Per the National Hurricane Center: 

Hurricane Priscilla is currently strengthening and is expected to become a Category 3 Hurricane today. It is forecast to pass close to the coast and make landfall on the North side of Baja California by Saturday. Los Cabos is not expected to be directly impacted, however, due to its proximity, the area is currently experiencing intermittent rain and strong waves. 

 
Storm status 

  • A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Los Cabos 

 

Hotel status 

  • As of this advisory, all hotels are operating normally with no change. 

 

Airport status 

 

  • San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD) in Cabo, remains open and operating normally. 

 

Amstar Staff  

  • Hotel representatives are on duty and assisting customers.
  • Airport representatives are on duty and assisting customers. Transfer services are operating normally. 
  • Office staff are on duty and assisting customers.

  • All water tours and most of the land activities have been canceled today.
