Description
Tap into your adrenaline circuits
Following pick-up from your resort, you will arrive at Emotions Native Park in the Riviera Maya. What is there to do? Start by exploring more than 1,000 acres of tropical jungle on your set of wheels.
Whether you prefer to drive an ATV or Polaris vehicle, explore the density of this natural reserve at top speed, cross paths of dirt and mud, and feel the adrenaline of driving through a suspension bridge hanging over a cenote.
Explore Mayan traditions at Emotions Native Park
After your adventure on wheels, it’s time to slow down to fully take in the region’s vegetation. During a fun and light walk, you will head to the Casa de los Suenos (House of Dreams) to visit a garden and a ranch, learning about the lifestyle of the region’s first settlers.
You will also visit the winding gaps of Mayan ruins that have stood the test of time. Take a closer look at the rich culture of this ancient civilization.
As part of this cultural enrichment, participate in a Mayan ceremony where a shaman will share with the participants an ancient culture’s view on nature, their surroundings and the cosmos.
Swim in an underground cenote and zip line over the jungle
For the ancient Mayans, cenotes and caves were sacred entrances to other worlds, communication centers with their gods. During your Emotions Native Park excursion, you will have a chance to visit the magnificent Ixchel Cenote after a brief walk through the natural reserve.
Once in the cenote, your guide will explain all the details of the geological formations and cultural implications for the region’s people. After exploring the heart of the jungle, view its beauty from across the treetops on three zip lines. Feel the wind on your face as you take in the landscapes!
One more cenote, then a snack
The last stop of activities is a quick visit to the Media Luna Cenote, whose crystalline waters will be a refreshing welcome after the day’s fun-packed activities. Like all cenotes in the region, Media Luna is connected to 6,000 other cenotes all over the Yucatan Peninsula through underground canals.
End your cultural and adventurous excursion with a Mayan-style snack while enjoying the sounds of nature and making new friends before heading back to your resort.
