Description

Dive along walls dropping to 150 feet

Your excursion begins at the Vallarta Adventures Center in Nuevo Vallarta or at the Maritime Terminal in Puerto Vallarta. To participate in this dive, you must have a valid Open Water Certification card from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). Plus, you must show a dive log with a minimum of 25 logged dives to your dive master, who will also be PADI certified. When everything is in order, you will depart on a boat until you drop anchor to begin your two-tank dive deep in the Pacific.

Scuba diving with Puerto Vallarta marine life

You’ll be exploring Morro Reef, which offers depths of 150 feet, and averages visibility of 40 to 120 feet in water temperatures ranging from 62 to 82 degrees. Morro Reef, or El Morro, lies deep beneath the edge of Banderas Bay near the Marietas Islands’ ecological reserve. The reef is filled with caves, reef walls and a 50-foot tunnel, providing you some of the best Puerto Vallarta scuba diving experiences possible.

As home to multiple species of sea life, your dive might allow you to have close encounters with dolphins, sea turtles, sharks, sea anemones, moray eels, yellowtail tuna, sailfish, octopus, lobster and sea horses, as well as some of Mexico’s larger manta rays. When you come back for air, you’ll have lunch and drinks on your boat before sailing back to the marina.
