Description

Experience Zipline thrills at Diamante Eco Adventure Park

Your exciting jaunt begins in the morning with transportation from your resort to Diamante Eco Adventure Park, a real paradise for both nature lovers and adrenaline junkies vacationing in Costa Rica. Upon check-in, your bilingual hosts will give you the Adventure Pass bracelet for full access to Diamante’s animal reserve, beach area, buffet lunch, and, of course, an exhilarating zip line course that will satisfy your greatest adrenaline craving.

Get geared up and glide off from the Diamante base on the first zip line, then take a tractor truck up the park’s tallest hill and let the emotion build. Once you’re at the summit, let your guides strap you on so you can soar on the one that tops them all — the ‘Superman’ zip line! Feel 4,461 feet of sheer adrenaline as you fly above the entire grounds of Diamante, and take in a glorious view of the blue Pacific on the horizon for a mixture of thrill and amazement! The course continues with a short bungee jump and a few more zip lines, the last one taking you to the park’s animal sanctuary.

Encounter the flora and fauna of Costa Rica

Once you finish zipping through Diamante Eco Adventure Park, stay in your zip gear so you can enter the animal sanctuary in style — by walking on a hanging bridge over a crocodile pit. As you trek on the bridge, say hello to the friendly reptiles and get a good vantage point of the different displays at the park’s animal sanctuary, which features Costa Rica’s most iconic animals.

Come down from the bridge and walk over to whichever exhibit you’d like. Listen to a knowledgeable guide tell you facts about the fauna you’ll see, most notably sloths, jaguars, and playful monkeys, all rescue animals lovingly cared for by expert trainers. Continue to the butterfly sanctuary to fill your life with color, hang out at the botanical garden to feel the greenness of the country, and see the aviary for a perfect photo of toucans and other tropical birds.

Visit a botanical garden and a Traditional Farmhouse

Explore the Botanical Garden, a haven of medicinal plants, fruit trees, and vibrant flowers. Your guide will reveal the historical and contemporary uses of these plants, offering fascinating insights into their significance in Costa Rican culture and traditional practices.

Visit the Traditional Farmhouse, or “Casita,” at the Botanical Garden, designed to replicate the true design, style, and materials used by Costa Rican farmers for over a hundred years. This traditional house offers a history tour and cultural insight into the lives of rural Costa Ricans.

Engage in hands-on activities with coffee, cacao, and sugarcane, learning how these crops are cultivated and processed. See cacao plants up close, learn about the origin and history of cacao, and even make your own chocolate.

Discover the significant role coffee has played in Costa Rican society while exploring vibrant organic coffee plants. Along the walking trails, you’ll encounter the organic sugarcane crop and learn about sugarcane agriculture. Use a traditional sugarcane press to create your own sweet water, “Agua Dulce,” and gain a deeper appreciation for the agricultural traditions that have shaped the region.

Enjoy the beach life and recharge with lunch during Diamante Eco Park Tour

To refresh after your natural encounter, hop on a truck and head toward the Pacific waters you viewed as you flew on the ‘Superman’. Once you’re at the beach, have fun exploring the waves on a stand-up paddleboard or kayak. If you’d rather take it easy, have a quick dip in the water or lie on hammocks under the shade, letting the sound of the waves relax you for a sweet moment of peace and quiet.

When your beach time is over, return to the home base of Diamante for a hearty buffet lunch featuring a mix of local dishes and American favorites to satisfy your varied tastes. As you dine, enjoy the ocean view and refresh with a fruit drink or fine Costa Rican coffee, and don’t forget about dessert. When you’re done with all the flavor and excitement of this eco-adventure park, wave goodbye to your hosts and return to your vehicle for the ride back to your resort.
