Zip Lines above the mountains or Hanging Bridges on your mega combo tour

Your full-day adventure starts out bright and early in the morning with a round-trip pick-up from your Guanacaste resort. Your transportation will take you through rural country roads and into the transitional forest, where you’ll notice a more verdant scenery during the moments you ascend higher into the mountains. When you arrive at the home base of your Costa Rica mega combo tour, you’ll be immediately welcomed by your hosts with a delightful drink, just what you need to refresh before starting an unforgettable combination of adrenaline-pumping and relaxing activities.

Upon entering the adventure center, you’ll be surrounded by perfectly landscaped greenery that will make you feel like you’re stepping into paradise. And with a background of imposing mountain views, you’ll have two options to choose from: either experience the exhilarating zip-lining, where you can soar from tree to tree on 7 premium zip lines high above the forest canopy or embark on a captivating walk on hanging bridges. The hanging bridges will provide you with an up-close encounter with the forest canopy and allow you to appreciate the incredible flora and gigantic trees with towering roots upon returning to the ground.

If you choose the zip-lining option, your guides will gear you up and accompany you through a forest walk to reach the first platform. This walk requires a little physical demand, but don't worry, there will be strategic stops along the way for you to observe the surrounding nature before reaching the Canopy and catching your breath. Feel the wind in your face and experience the adrenaline rush as you zip line across the stunning landscape, including breathtaking views of the majestic Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, if the clouds clear up.

Please note that you can either choose the zip-lining experience or the hanging bridges adventure, as they are separate activities. Enjoy your day of adventure and make memories that will last a lifetime!

Discover the tasty treats, coffee and pottery of Costa Rica

Next comes the ‘culture’ part of your Costa Rica mega combo tour, taking you to a ranch called La Fonda. At this quiet place, you’ll get to see firsthand how the locals use a clay oven to make tortillas and cornbread. The best part is that you’ll get to sample these delicacies almost as soon as they come out of the oven, giving you another level of homemade flavor that’s hard to find back home.

Then go next door to a little house for a small coffee tour. Learn from a knowledgeable guide about the area’s high-quality coffee beans, which get their robust flavor from growing in Costa Rica’s rich volcanic soil. See how they grind the beans into the ready-to-ship coffee and even sample a freshly brewed cup. Finally, stop by at the Guaitil Pottery Studio for an exhibition of how local artisans have made clay pottery for generations. This is a more hands-on activity because you’ll be able to make the clay pottery yourself while your guide shows you how.

Enjoy an organic Costa Rican lunch, with a side of mountain views

If the taste of homemade treats and the smell of delectable coffee rouse your appetite, don’t worry because you’re about to satisfy your hunger with an included buffet lunch. Savor the fabulous flavor of Costa Rica with delightful dishes that are made with organic ingredients fresh from the adjoining farm. This will ensure that you taste a diverse mixture of flavors directly from nature.

Refresh with soft drinks that are also made with fresh tropical fruits that only grow in this Central American paradise, and get a magnificent view of the mountains while you breathe in the fresh air during your stupendous meal. When you’ve had your fill of good food and drink, go get a perfect photo of the mountains before moving on to the final two activities of the day.

Go on horseback or take a tractor ride through nature trails

What better way to continue exploring the mountains and the forests than by riding horseback during a 45-minute trek through the Costa Rican outback. Your loyal steed will take you along hidden trails and through hills, giving you inspiring sights of nature along the way. Guides will be on hand to ensure you’re completely taken care of during your journey.

If you'd rather not ride a horse or just take it slower, go aboard a tractor for a ride through the hills and rugged terrain. You’ll pass through hidden country roads that might even give you a glimpse of small waterfalls and rivulets along the way. Whichever means of transportation you choose, you’ll arrive at a magical place where the most relaxing time awaits.

Relax with a spa-cial treatment inside hot springs

The final stop will be a hot spring that’s tucked away deep inside the forest, a natural haven where you’ll forget every one of your troubles. As soon as you immerse your body and swim in the naturally heated waters of these hot springs pools, your body and your soul will be at peace. And with the sounds of Costa Rica’s nature all around, you will be sure to reach a zen-like level of tranquility.

Make the most out of your natural spa treatment by slathering volcanic mud across your skin to benefit from its minerals and soothing qualities. After you rinse off and end your spa experience, you’ll head back to the farm, where your vehicle awaits to take you back to your Guanacaste resort. Your memories of a relaxing and fun-filled mega combo tour of Costa Rica will be with you for years to come.
