Harness your inner explorer on the Huatulco town tour

Your journey begins in the morning when you’re picked up at your resort. From there, your vehicle will take you up to tour the town of Santa Maria Huatulco, whose quaint streets and winding roads overlook the southern Sierra Madre Mountains.

This is the original town of the area, where civic life first began. Take in the town hall and the lovely church during your free time to wander around. Stop off at the market and see what crafts you can take as souvenirs.

Discover amazing heights and taste the freshest coffee

Next, you’ll head up to the mountain village of Pluma Hidalgo, which sits 5,000 feet above sea level. This is a real slice of Mexico life, a small town nestled among the clouds. You can imagine the views already, right?

Pluma Hidalgo is a charming village that survives off the production of the surrounding coffee plantations. So you know what that means — coffee tasting! Take in the aroma of freshly ground beans and get a little caffeine kick along the way. You’ll definitely be ready for the final part of your outing.

Get to know the residents of Huatulco

Finally, you’ll be welcomed into a local home filled with exotic flowers just waiting to be photographed. Swap stories with the locals there and let their wisdom accompany you even after your Huatulco town tour wraps up.

On the way back to your resort, enjoy some drinks aboard your vehicle as you take in views of the mountains converting into coastline.
