Rincón de la Vieja Volcano Tour Through National Park Trails
The Rincón de la Vieja Volcano Tour begins with hotel pick up and a drive into one of Guanacaste’s most important national parks. You enter a protected area where tropical forest, dry forest, and volcanic terrain exist side by side. This combination creates a varied landscape that changes as you move through the park. You start with a guided hike along maintained trails. Your guide explains the ecosystem and points out wildlife such as monkeys, birds, and reptiles. Along the way, you observe volcanic mud pits, which show active geothermal processes. These features are safe to approach and give you a direct look at the volcano’s influence.
Waterfall Swim and Natural Cooling Break
After the hike, you head to a nearby private property to reach a jungle waterfall. You descend a set of well maintained stairs that lead you safely to the water. The path is structured, making access manageable while still feeling connected to the environment. At the base, you have time to swim in clear water surrounded by vegetation. This stop allows you to cool down and shift the pace of the day. The waterfall area is quiet and gives you space to relax before continuing to the next part of the experience.
