From tacos to tamales to tortas, you can't resist trying these delicacies. The Cancun Street food ‘menu’ includes the first stop at Mercado 23, where you can walk around the market and then try tasting Mexico City-style “Tamales” and “Atole”. The second stop features the popular “Tacos de Carnitas” accompanied by a traditional local soda called “Jarritos”. Then, you will delight with a typical crunchy Yucatecan “Panucho" topped with “Cochinita Pibil” another family-owned shop. The fourth stop is the slow-cooked lamb with Mexican seasonings "Barbacoa" taco. There is nothing better than something fresh and light to drink with your food, you can try seasonal fruit juices from local vendors. They are made from different types of fruits mixed in with water and are fresh-squeezed on-site. They are crazy refreshing on a hot day!

A culinary experience

This ‘foodie’ adventure is a great opportunity to get an insider's look at traditional Mexican cooking techniques. You will learn about the artisanal process of real maize-based tortillas. Tortillas can be used to hold a variety of fillings, once you have warm fresh tortillas handy, it's time to add a punch of flavor to your taco–salsas! Learn the secret ingredients for the most popular Mexican salsas and ensure you'll enjoy every single bite you take. Plus, you can bring home some of these recipes and show them off to your friends.

Time for something sweet

Mexican paletas are fresh fruit ice pops made with fruit, sugar, and either water or cream. You will indulge your sweet tooth with some delicious, authentic Mexican ice cream and popsicles at La Michoacana, one of the most popular ice cream parlors found all over Mexico. The varieties of paletas are expansive. Sure, you can snag a standard strawberry or watermelon paleta, but they also come in flavors like tamarind, spicy pineapple, passion fruit, coconut, hibiscus raspberry, and creamy ones like cajeta. Each flavor is super refreshing. Plus, thanks to the color variety, they are aesthetically pleasing to boot. Mexican Street Art in Cancun
