Explore the world’s second largest coral reef, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, also known as the Great Mayan Reef during this Cozumel multi-tank package. Stretching from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to Honduras, the reef is home to Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park, just off of the island’s coast. Here, endangered fish are protected from harm and you may encounter a few of them, such as the Cozumel splendid toadfish, the queen conch, and a loggerhead turtle. This particular dive adventure visits the Palancar and Santa Rosa Reef, with dives reaching depths of 50 to 110 feet and a swim through coral reef caves.

Your excursion takes off from three area resorts: Allegro Cozumel, Melia Cozumel or Occidental Grand Cozumel. With four daily departures and boats holding 12 to 20 divers for a 5- to 10-minute ride, your guides will be dive master trainers who are certified and trained in medical first aid. They’ll outfit you with two tanks and scuba gear, masks, snorkels, fins, wetsuits and all items needed to enjoy a good dive. If you don’t know how to dive and want to learn, the guides can offer you training a couple of days before the excursion to prepare you as a diver.

Practical Information
- Only for certified divers
- Marine park fee of $2 USD per day not included
- Children must be over 10 years old and have at least a Junior Open Water Diver certificate
- Rental equipment costs $30 USD for 2-tank dives
- 2-tank dives cannot be split in two single tanks — two tanks must be used in the morning and/or two tanks in the afternoon
- Bring a towel, sunscreen lotion, and a swimsuit or shorts
- Lunch is not included — we recommend you pack a box lunch to take with you
- Must be in good physical condition — you’ll be required to fill out a medical questionnaire
- Please provide medical clearance, if necessary
