USEFUL DEPARTURE INFORMATION
RETURNING TO THE U.S.
Gates 5, 6, 7 and 8 are the standard gates for US-bound flights. At busy times gates 1,2,3 and 4 may also be used. The entrance to the US-bound departures area is located to the right of the Arrivals Hall.
Aruba has U.S. pre-clearance for all passengers traveling to the United States. This means that you will go through U.S. passport control in Aruba at the U.S. Customs & Border Protection facility and once back in the US you won't have that hassle.
At check-in, one Custom Declaration form per family will be handed out and must be filled-in before entering the U.S. pre-clearance facility. After checking-in, proceed to Aruba Immigration where you must present your travel documents as well as the Aruba Immigration card filled-out upon arrival.
After passing the Aruba Immigration you will need to pick up your baggage (which you would have dropped off during check-in) and go to the U.S. Customs & Border Protection facility. A U.S. Customs & Border Protection official will take your Customs Declaration form. Once the official clears you to pass through, you’ll place your checked luggage on a conveyor to be direct to the appropriate flight. Next, you’ll clear security, and walk to your gate. You’ll arrive back in the United States as a domestic passenger and walk off the flight as if you were arriving from any other point in the U.S.
TRAVELING TO ALL OTHER DESTINATIONS:
Gates 1, 2, 3, 4, A and B are used for flights to all non-US destinations. The entrance to the international departures area is located to the left of the Arrivals Hall.
