Hit the warm Polynesian water with a Maui sailing and snorkeling tour that will get you within reach of scores of tropical fish, sea turtles, and Hawaii’s state fish, Humuhumunukunukuapua’a (also known as reef triggerfish). You will sail the ocean on a catamaran to see some of Maui’s best snorkeling sites. And, in the winter, you could even spot migrating humpback whales!
Snorkel and Sail Western Maui’s Coastline
Begin your Maui sailing and snorkeling tour at Westin Maui Resort, where you will check in and board the 64-foot Gemini catamaran. You will have plenty of time sailing the waters along Maui’s western coastline, stopping in the Marine Preserve in Honolua Bay. (Depending on visibility and weather, other snorkeling spots may be Turtle Town in Olowalu or Cliff House off the coast of Lanai). Gear and snorkeling instructions are available for every passenger who wants to swim, including young children who need smaller life jackets and floatation devices.
Sample a Hot Buffet and Local Drinks
As you swim in the Pacific, you may see reef triggerfish, as well as playful porpoises swimming off the catamaran’s wake, and sea turtles of all sizes. Non-swimmers can even enjoy the trip, sunning on the deck and taking in the coastal views. As you make your way back to shore on your Maui sailing and snorkeling tour, you will be treated to a hot buffet lunch, as well as an open bar of complimentary drinks, including Hawaiian’s famed beer, Kona Longboard.
