Rafting in Huatulco is an exciting activity. To begin this adventure, you leave early in the morning and head into the Sierra Madre del Sur Mountains. After climbing to an altitude of more than 2,500 feet, you descend 15 miles, and launch your raft at the mouth of the river. The Copalita River flows through areas with white-water rapids for expert rafters and gentler stretches that are perfect for the entire family.
For the big thrills, try the Alemania section! These amazing class IV and V rapids are very technical. Class III and IV rapids, which are less challenging, can be found at the La Hamaca section. The third section has class I and II rapids, best suited for the family.
