Puerto Vallarta gastronomy offers a varied cuisine where you can enjoy typical Mexican and international cuisines like the French, Greek, Italian, Chinese, German, Japanese, etc.
One of the main products of this city is the seafood with dishes that are made as crappie or octopus ceviche, fish or shrimp dumplings in tequila or pumpkin sauce, beside of the typical Mexican dishes.
Other dishes that we enjoy a lot in Puerto Vallarta are the “pastries” that are made with very thin small tortillas and fried and garnished with chopped, sliced cabbage and onion.
And nothing better than enjoy a dessert made with corn dough, sugar and tuna or “cuala” made with dough, milk, sugar and crushed coconut oil. In Puerto Vallarta we also love other desserts like mango butter milk and coconut candies.
Typical drinks worth to mention are tuba and tejuino (fermented corn drink) or soft drinks such as coconut water, nanche (typical fruit), jamaica and tamarind.
