The ultimate dolphin experience, the Trainer for a Day program offers everyone aged 12 and up the unique opportunity to spend an unforgettable day assisting the team of marine mammal experts at the Cabo Dolphin Center in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Working side-by-side and behind-the-scenes with the dolphin trainers, you will be in close contact with the dolphins throughout the day, while getting a closer look at the fascinating world of marine mammal professionals.
From feeding and behavioral training techniques to helping the dolphin trainers during the Swim with Dolphin programs, you'll learn the basic skills of caring for and training dolphins as you assist the trainers in every aspect of their work.
These special programs are limited to one group of four "Trainers" per day so that everyone has plenty of up-close and personal time with the dolphins.
- Arrive at the Cabo Dolphin Center 30 minutes before your scheduled swim.
- Wear bathing suit under shorts
- Leave jewelry in your room. No jewelry allowed in the pool.
- Bring:
- Extra t-shirt
- A hat, sunglasses and bio-degradable sunblock1
- Towel
- Camera2, extra batteries, film/disc
- Cash for snacks, beverages, souvenirs, DVD’s and photos
NOTES:
1 Sunblock can be used outside of the pool only.
2 For safety reasons, cameras are not allowed in any of the pool areas. A professional team of photographers will be on hand to capture the memories.
Minimum age 12. Must be in good swimming condition.
