Huatulco Oaxaca overnight tour, if you are a lover of culture & discovery you can't miss a visit to the Colonial city of Oaxaca. You’ll travel on a deluxe coach from the coastal plains into the Sierra Madre Mountains.
Our 1st stop is San Jose del Pacifico, the highest point of the Sierras - where you're actually above the clouds!! Next, the village of San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its black pottery & a rare opportunity to purchase a beautiful piece from the actual artisans.
Later we arrive to our hotel in Oaxaca; located downtown, close to the sights, sounds & aromas of the city. Wander the local markets, enjoy dinner in one of the many bistros & stroll in the park while you watch Mariachis play their time-honored music.
In the morning travel to the outskirts of Oaxaca for a visit to the ruins of Monte Alban, a sacred, ancient Zapotec city. Later we’ll return to the city for a tour of the church of Santo Domingo, a baroque style church with beautiful interiors; and the Regional Museum, one of the best in Latin America with Pre-Hispanic & Spanish Colonial treasures.
A terrific 2 days filled with discovery.
